  7. GNS3 – Network Emulation Environment. Much better than Cisco Packet Tracer but requires a fairly powerful computer to run, at least if you are going to build a very large Topology. It’s rather complicated so some technical acumen / education is required.
  8. Cisco Networking Academy – Cisco’s online education platform. There are some free classes offered here as well as others that require you taking a class at a authorized Cisco training provider. If you need some Linux basics, they offer a free NDG Linux Essnetials class that will prepare you for the LPI Linux Essentials certification exam. Check your local community college, they may be a Cisco Learning Academy school.
  9. Pearson Test Prep – You can get free practice exams from Pearson by purchasing print or e-books, specifically, the various Cisco certification tracks. I have them for CCNA R&S, CCNA Security, and CCNA Data Center & they were a big help with CCNA R&S preparation & I’ll use them as I prepare for Security & Data Center in the near future.
